After many years of leading brand and marketing teams on the client side, I now own Bright Seed Company. Our focus is on growing passion and purpose driven brands. The joy in my work comes from combining creativity with the sensibilities of process innovation to identify new opportunities and establish rich relationships with the customer.
What is your favorite brand, and why?
Apple computers is my favorite brand for many reasons: they create complex products surrounded by true simplicity in the branding, product design/user experience and communication – they realize the true meaning of ‘less is more’; they focus on the joy of the user experience; they dig down to the root of the consumer need; they have kept true to their core while expanding to the masses.
What is your favorite quote or nugget of wisdom?
Stress is the resistance to ‘what is’. If you don’t resist ‘what is’ there’s no stress created.
Who inspires you and why?
I am inspired by people who have overcome adversity. It seems like really hard work.
What are you passionate about?
Living life in gratitude and helping to encourage others to do so as well.
How has the AMA helped you excel in your career?
Being part of the SD AMA has helped me to keep ahead of the curve on trends, resources and what’s happening in the San Diego marketing community.
What excites you most about 2017 Cause Conference?
It’s been an amazing experience to be part of the Programming Team. I have felt that it’s a key goal to create a truly meaningful experience. Not only for strengthening the businesses and non-profits but to help attendees think more deeply about what they do as individuals in their work and how they can create a positive change inside and outside of their organization.
