Best thing about the San Diego AMA?

The ability to network with a diverse group of talented professionals and improve skill sets.

What is a brand you admire, and why?

I remark often about the Chipotle 2 min. “Back to the Start” commercial which aired on the Grammy’s in 2012, featuring Willie Nelson covering Cold Play. Playing on heart strings and providing an emotional connection to target audiences is not an easy feat. The animated short about the humane treatment of farming animals resonated deeply with viewers. This lengthy and costly ad was well placed after being tested online and worth the investment risk. It became a huge hit- and yes, I can even tear up at commercials.

What is your favorite quote?

“It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” – Rocky Balboa

What is your favorite book?

Lust for Life by Irving Stone- about the life of Vincent Van Gogh. The Mission of Art by Alex Grey is up there also.

What is your one gold nugget of wisdom?

Don’t expect things to always go smoothly, stay with uncomfortable things and learn, that is when we grow.
