WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT BEING A SAN DIEGO AMA MEMBER?
Volunteering keeps me engaged with my marketing peers. I love being able to contribute to the marketing community in a meaningful way.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BRAND?
Patagonia offers quality products and know how to interact with their customers. They work hard to be relevant and inspire. Live their core values and treat their customers and employees well. Their commitment to the environment is apparent in everything they do from offering quality products that last to giving back to environmental causes.

WHAT IS YOUR GOLDEN NUGGET OF WISDOM?
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” -Oscar Wilde

WHO INSPIRES YOU?
Richard Branson is an inspiration to me. I love that he calls himself “Dr. Yes”. He is so passionate about turning ideas into reality.

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?
When I’m not geeking out about marketing, my hobby is high power rocketry. I’m an amateur rocket scientist (https://rawkitgurl.wordpress.com/). It challenges me to use other parts of my brain, not engaged during my day to day work. There is something zen about designing and building a rocket. I get immersed and lose track of time, although it’s rewarding to work hard on getting a rocket ready and to have a successful flight.

HOW HAS THE AMA HELPED YOU EXCEL IN YOUR CAREER?
Signature Events and the #SDAOM—Art of Marketing Conference are great resources to interact with like minded marketers, stay connected to the marketing community, and learn from experts in the field. I really enjoy working with everyone at the San Diego AMA and am happy I am able to be of service.
