WHAT BUSINESS FIGURE INSPIRES YOU?

Emma Gonzalez is not yet a business figure but I have to say that she is one of the most inspiring figures of today.  She and the other student leaders from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High have channeled their tremendous grief and anger into action and a force for good, showing maturity well beyond their years.  Emma’s six minutes and 20 seconds of “the loudest silence in the history of US social protest” was “heard” loud and clear all over the world and will likely continue to reverberate for years to come.  It was an extremely powerful way of “breaking through the noise.”

 

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT AMA SAN DIEGO?

All the hours I have volunteered with AMA San Diego have been rewarded in spades.  First and foremost, I love the friends and business connections I have made through AMA San Diego.  I also love how much I have learned and continue to learn about marketing.  I have the great privilege of being the lead researcher on the multi-year AMA San Diego State of Marketing Study.  2018 is the second year of the study.  Not only do I feel like I am doing a Master’s degree in Marketing, but I also have the unique opportunity to spend 30 minutes interviewing a variety of San Diego’s marketing luminaries.
