The “ART of Marketing” Conference Returns on October 10

The San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association Announces Second Training and Networking Conference of the Year

SAN DIEGO, CA–(Marketwire – Sep 18, 2012) – The San Diego chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) announced its final ART of Marketing conference for 2012, drawing industry professionals from a broad range of marketing disciplines. The half-day event will take place on October 10th at UCSD Extension University City Center Campus, and will feature an array of speakers and hands-on training intensives.

“Due to the tremendous success and participation at our first ART of Marketing conference last May, we felt our community would benefit from a fall event before the conclusion of 2012,” says Dan Bishop, president of San Diego AMA. “The feedback we received from attendees and speakers at our spring conference provided great insight; and helped shape the format and speaker schedule for this fall season.”

The conference will feature speakers in branding, SEO, advertising and social media marketing. As a complement to the afternoon speaker sessions, the local marketing and design staffing firm, Aquent, will host an hour long speed networking session for all conference attendees. Throughout the afternoon, a variety of hands-on workshops will be offered, such as a digital advertising workshop “Building Your Own Plan” and a SEO workshop “The 10 Most Important Things You Need to Know.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the San Diego AMA again,” says Shannon McDonald, marketing manager at UCSD Extension. “If you want to be up-to-date on today’s best marketing practices, then this is one conference you won’t want to miss.”
