AMA San Diego Cares – Keeping Our Rivers Clean
Following the meaningful impact of our first volunteer opportunity at the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank in November 2025, we are excited to launch our second community initiative. AMA San Diego is teaming up with San Diego River Park Foundation for a river clean-up event on Saturday, March 14.
Olivia Robinson, Member, AMA San Diego, shared, “Attending the first AMA San Diego Cares event in collaboration with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank was such a meaningful experience. It was incredibly rewarding to give back to the community while coming together as marketing professionals to connect, support one another, and have fun while making an impact. Seeing everyone’s positive energy throughout the day truly made the experience special and reminded me why being part of AMA is so fulfilling”.
With a strong belief in giving back to the community and making a positive change for everyone, AMA San Diego continues its journey of social impact with protecting and restoring our local waterways.
The Clean River Program from the San Diego River Park Foundation organizes volunteers to work toward a pollution-free San Diego River. Their approach is innovative because they collect robust, comprehensive data about trash and the condition of the San Diego River through field surveys. By having boots on the ground almost daily, they are uniquely positioned to make plans and advocate for effective and efficient trash removal.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the San Diego River with team leaders guiding volunteers to discover new spots along the River during the 3-hour volunteer project.
