San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association Wins National Chapter Excellence Award
San Diego organization wins in the Communications and Leadership categories for 2013-2014
SAN DIEGO, CA–(November 3, 2014) – The local chapter of the American Marketing Association (San Diego AMA) is pleased to announce that it has won two National Chapter Excellence award, from a field of 74 chapters, in the organization’s Communication and Leadership Special Merit Award Categories for the years 2013-2014.
The Chapter Excellence Awards program was established in 1974 to recognize and reward outstanding achievements in leadership, membership, programming, and communications among AMA professional chapters. Every year, American Marketing Association chapters across the country and globe compete to be recognized and rewarded for outstanding achievements in various categories.
As a result of the San Diego AMA Chapter’s outstanding 2013-2014 years, they have received both a Communications Excellence award and the Leadership Special Merit award.
“The 2013-2014 San Diego AMA Board is absolutely thrilled to be honored by the international American Marketing Association in the area of both communications and leadership,” said Kirsty Nunez, the organization’s immediate past president. “Our all-volunteer Board contributes time, intellectual property and passion into developing “powerhouse marketers” in the San Diego region.
