Nicola Nice, CEO, Pomp & Whimsy 

Dr. Nicola Nice is a consumer insights and innovation specialist with expertise in spirits, fashion, personal care and the female consumer.  A sociologist by training, she has spent the last 15 years advising large producers like Diageo, Gruppo Campari and Bacardi on their brand strategies. Frustrated with the misrepresentation of the female consumer in the industry, in 2015 she turned her attention towards brand creation, developing Pomp & Whimsy – a gin liqueur that is uniquely tailored to the female experience.  Crafted in Los Angeles from 16 whole botanicals, Pomp & Whimsy launched to wide critical acclaim, winning 4x golds, and 1x silver at major spirits competitions so far this year.

 

 Thomas Bleakley, Partner, Malahat Spirits

Malahat Spirits Co. makes award winning rum and whiskey.  The distillery was founded in 2012 by three friends to create the finest spirits for themselves, their friends and their families.  Their combined belief that the spirits industry could benefit from an infusion of experimentation, locally sourced ingredients, and good old fashioned handcrafting brought them together to found the distillery.
